Oh my goodness! He seems so grown up in this video! He does really well at taking bites and breaking off pieces. Gavin would have tried to stick the whole thing in his mouth and choked. We kind of stink at eating big people food!
Gavin would much rather eat something that he can pick up rather than baby food, but his preferences are very slim. Obviously he loves puffs and cheerios, and usually green beans and bread. He is going through a stage where he will take a few good bites of something and then he starts to spit it out and pick it out of his mouth with his fingers. Then he won't have anything to do with it. I know they say they will eat if they are hungry, but I'm scared he isn't getting the nutrition he needs.
I guess as long as he is still getting his formula he will get enough nutrition. I feel better knowing Logan is still nursing since he doesn't always eat the most nutritious foods.
Welcome to the Henke Blog. We are enjoying life with our son Logan who came into our lives on September 6, 2006 and our new baby daughter Catarina who was born on December 18, 2008. Hopefully I will find the time to keep our blog updated for everyone!

We stopped buying jars of baby food a few weeks ago. I would open it and have to throw it out because he wouldn't eat it. He wants what we are having.
